Applying Watermarks to Specific Pages
When applying watermarks, you have control over where they appear. You can choose to apply the watermark to the current page or all pages in the document. Additionally, you can set custom page ranges to target specific sections. Selective watermarking allows you to emphasize important pages while keeping others clear.
Editing or Removing a Watermark
To modify or delete existing watermarks, access the Watermark tool again. Follow the same steps you used to add the watermark. You can change the settings of the watermark or completely remove it from the document. This flexibility ensures that your documents can be updated as needed without hassle.
Applying Date Stamps to Your Document
Using the watermark tool, you can easily add date stamps to your PDF documents. Insert today's date or a custom date as needed. Configure the format and placement of the date stamp to ensure it fits well within the document layout. Date stamping helps track document versions and provides clarity on when the document was created or modified.
Sequential Page Numbering in PDFs
Adding sequential page numbers to your PDFs is straightforward. You can configure the format and placement of the page numbers to suit your document style. Page numbering is beneficial for maintaining organization in multi-page documents, making it easier for readers to reference specific sections.
Understanding Bates Numbering for Legal Use
Bates numbering is essential for legal documents, allowing you to apply unique identifiers across pages. You can customize the prefix and suffix of the Bates numbers to fit your requirements. This practice is important in legal contexts for tracking and referencing documents accurately.

Limitations of the Watermark Tool
While the watermark tool is powerful, there are some limitations to consider. There is a maximum file size for watermark images, and only specific image formats are supported. Additionally, there may be restrictions on the length of text that can be used for watermarks, which could affect how you design your watermarks.
Security and Data Handling Practices
pdfFiller prioritizes security during the watermarking process. All data is protected with TLS encryption in transit, ensuring that your documents remain confidential. The platform also follows strict document retention and deletion policies, complying with data protection regulations to safeguard your information.
